Like most days, the young strategist would spend his afternoons napping peacefully under his favourite Sakura tree. However, his restful nap was soon disrupted by the voice of a familiar disgruntled man. "Hanbei... wake up, you've slept for too long now."
Hanbei opened his eyes reluctantly and squinted when the sun's ray of golden light shone on his face. "Eh..Kanbei is that you?" The teenager murmured and rubbed his eyes to look at his mentor. "I was having the most delightful nap." He used his elbows to prop himself up now that his eyes were adjusted to the light. Hanbei scratched the back of his head nervously, "what's the matter now?" h

Hanbei lay quietly on the futon listening to the trickle of rain on the roof top. A cold draft managed to find its way into the room, causing a shiver run up the sixteen year old's spine. He pulled the white sheets up closer to his neck as his eyes fluttered open when he heard the sound of footsteps on the cold wooden floor. The young boy sighed relieved to see who it was. Kanbei sat beside Hanbei and drew another blanket on his weakened body. "Your health isn't getting any better Hanbei..." the older male stated in an unusually quiet tone.
